Job Description Summary

The House Attendant (HA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to assist Room Attendants on assigned floors or buildings by collecting dirty linens and transporting them to the laundry area, delivering clean linens to Room Attendant carts, and retrieving trash throughout the hotel. They also assist with the commercial laundry function and/or the cleaning of public areas, exterior entrances, and the parking lot. The HA may be assigned special projects by the Housekeeping Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver excellent service in all guest interactions according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Assist with heavy items such as mattresses and linens, and deliver linens and supplies to Room Attendants.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and corridors.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and report repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Clean designated areas like public restrooms and storage rooms.
• Handle lost and found items and assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
• If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and operate laundry equipment according to standards.
• Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Some housekeeping experience preferred, especially in extended stay industries.
• Fluent English skills preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Must use cleaning chemicals safely and work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Pay Range

$19-$21/hr, depending on experience and skills.
