Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking a Hotel House Attendant in Hazel Crest, IL. You will maintain clean corridors, deliver guest items, and restock supplies while delivering a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, cleaning duties, item delivery, and reporting maintenance. Must meet physical requirements, stand/walk entire shift, and be willing to work nights/weekends/holidays. Illinois Gaming Act license required or able to obtain.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in GED program within six months.
• Must be nineteen years of age or older.
• Good verbal communication skills required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for entire shift and work in fast-paced environments.
• Illinois Gaming Act license must be obtained and kept in good standing.

• Delivers guests' requested items and restocks supplies.
• Vacuums corridors daily and maintains cleanliness of corridors and stairs.
• Loads glassware and transports items as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Projects a positive image
• Greets all guests passing in corridors
• Delivers guests’ requested items
• Vacuums corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessary
• Administers dirty and clean linen and terry items
• Loads glassware into washers as needed
• Transports trash from room attendant’s carts
• Recovers lost-and-found items
• Keeps corridors and stairwells free from dust and debris
• Disseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.
• Reports maintenance issues
• Performs routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly
• Works safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older- required
• Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) lbs
• Ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positions
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position

Base Pay:

• Compensation:$15.00 – $20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
