Overview

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in assigned areas and for delivering items to guestrooms, including express checkout materials and newspapers.

Responsibilities

1. Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
2. Shampoo carpets in public areas as needed.
3. Shampoo furniture as required.
4. Assist guests with luggage in a friendly and courteous manner.
5. Handle Lost and Found items according to hotel standards.
6. Clean guestrooms as needed.
7. Know and assist with emergency procedures.
8. Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
9. Store hotel equipment properly.
10. Complete special projects assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
11. Ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred, or relevant experience.
2. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
3. Ability to stand throughout the shift.
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
