Job summary

The Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans is seeking a reliable House Attendant to keep public areas and guest rooms clean, safe and welcoming on-site in the heart of the French Quarter.

You will stock linen closets, assist room attendants, vacuum and mop corridors, and help move furniture as directed, while maintaining a professional appearance and strong teamwork with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their duties.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls, mirrors, doors and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, and foyers.
• Move furniture and flip mattresses as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
