Job summary

Mondrian South Beach seeks a dedicated Room Attendant to keep corridors, elevators and all guest areas clean. You will perform general housekeeping tasks in line with the hotel standards and assist with special projects as needed.

The role involves cleaning floors and surfaces, removing trash, delivering linens and supplies to guest rooms, making up beds and moving items as required. Nights, holidays and weekends are required; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Physically able to carry 35 pounds; able to stand, bend, and move throughout shift.
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
• Works well and efficiently under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures and clean ashtrays.
• Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts.
• Clean escalators and elevator car and tracks.
• Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors.
• Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds.
• Move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain a fully stocked inventory of water, coffee, condiments and cups on the closets to be used by the Room Attendants.
