Job summary

The University of Wyoming is seeking an AM Food Service Attendant at the Athletic Training Table to support daily food service operations on campus at 7,220 feet above sea level. The role focuses on dishwashing, general cleaning, and assisting in food preparation under supervision.

You will follow cleaning schedules, maintain equipment, and help ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for familiarity with food service

Responsibilities

• Load and operate dish or pot washing machines and hand wash items unable to clean in machines.

• Follow cleaning schedules for equipment maintenance and ensure regular cleaning tasks are completed.
• Empty and maintain trash and recycling bins, disposing of waste properly and efficiently.
• Clean designated food service area(s).
• Assist in general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform a variety of routine tasks required in the operation of a food service facility; clean and maintain a designated area; assist in the preparation of food; and work under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and operate dish or pot washing machines and hand wash items unable to clean in machines as a primary job function; other positions may assist in these areas.
• Clean and maintain dish washing equipment, such as dishwashers, sinks, and drains, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
• Follow cleaning schedules for equipment maintenance and ensure regular cleaning tasks are completed.
• Empty and maintain trash and recycling bins, disposing of waste properly and efficiently.
• Clean designated food service area(s).
• Assist in general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
