Cleveland-Cliffs Steel in Coatesville, PA is seeking Hourly Maintenance Technicians - Electrical/Electronic to perform electrical maintenance across plant equipment. The role requires hands-on proficiency with electrical systems and contributing to reliable operations.

Starting pay is $36.12 per hour, with potential additional earnings including Sunday premium pay, shift differential, and holiday pay; health insurance, retirement plan, education assistance, and paid time off are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Be 18 or older and have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment Ramsey Assessment Test.
• Proficiency in 440 VAC motor installation, wiring, configuration and troubleshooting 250V DC motors.
• Troubleshoot 440 VAC starters, operate MV switchgear, troubleshoot DC crane control boards, calibrate transmitters, assemble power supplies, program Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical maintenance to keep all operating equipment running.
• Makes electrical repairs as required.
• Operates equipment during repairs and aids operating functions to keep equipment running.

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is currently hiring Hourly Maintenance Technicians - Electrical/Electronic. Hourly Maintenance Employees will perform a variety of maintenance functions throughout the plant.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Performs all electrical functions necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment.
• Makes electrical repairs as required in connection with their electrical service.
• Operates equipment in conjunction with repairs and aids in operating functions as necessary to keep equipment running.
• May work alone, with minimal supervision and works with other Maintenance Technicians, and coordinates and works in conjunction with Operating Technicians and/or Service Technicians in the performance of electrical maintenance tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be 18 or older and have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Candidates will be required to take a pre-employment Ramsey Assessment Test (Electrical and/or Electronics).
• Must demonstrate proficiency in 440 VAC motor installation, wire and configure and troubleshoot a 250V DC motor,
• Troubleshoot a 440 VAC starter, operate a medium voltage switch gear, troubleshoot a DC crane control board, calibrate a pressure transmitter, assemble an electronic power supply, program an Allen-Bradley PLC, troubleshoot an Allen-Bradley
• PLC and five KV cable termination.
• Starting hourly rate of $36.12 per hour with a potential for additional earnings including Sunday premium pay, shift differential, and holiday pay.
