Job summary

Nissan 24 of Brockton is seeking an Hourly Lube Technician to join our Service Department in Brockton, MA. The role involves performing routine maintenance and ensuring vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently according to manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive service and repair.
• Previous automotive experience or solid automotive background.
• Automotive certifications are a plus.
• Nissan experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screening.
• Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, lubrication services, safety inspections, and routine maintenance.
• Check and maintain fluid levels including coolant and transmission fluids.
• Inspect batteries and check tire pressure.
• Assist technicians and fetch parts as needed.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Ensure customer vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.
• Communicate repair concerns to management promptly.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and development.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Service Department, you will help ensure that customer vehicles are maintained and serviced safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer and dealership standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform oil changes, lubrication services, safety inspections, and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Check and maintain fluid levels, including coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
• Inspect batteries and check tire pressure.
• Perform basic maintenance and other services as directed by the Service Manager or senior technicians.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and all safety requirements.
• Use shop tools and equipment properly and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Keep customer vehicles clean and free of fingerprints, fluid residue, and debris after service.
• Assist technicians with parts pickup and maintain shop supplies as needed.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and other professional development opportunities.
• Meet established productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Communicate any repair concerns, delays, or safety issues to management promptly.
• Help maintain a safe, professional, and customer-focused service department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Automotive certifications are preferred.
• Nissan experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
