Job summary

Nissan 24 of Brockton is seeking a Flat Rate Automotive Technician to diagnose, service, and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications. You will work independently and as part of a team, following dealership procedures and time standards while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Complete assigned repairs accurately, efficiently, and within established time standards.
• Follow all applicable safety guidelines, manufacturer procedures, and dealership policies.
• Notify management of repair complications, delays, or issues that may affect quality or promised completion times.
• Perform road tests when required to verify repairs and vehicle performance.
• Maintain accurate repair orders, diagnostic documentation, troubleshooting records, and detailed descriptions of causes and corrections.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, technical schools, and professional development opportunities.
• Stay current with manufacturer technical service bulletins, repair procedures, and industry developments.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned in clean condition following service.
• Assist and provide guidance to apprentice technicians when assigned.
• Properly maintain dealership-owned tools, equipment, and technical manuals.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all applicable health and safety requirements.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental, hazardous waste, and workplace safety requirements.
• Promptly report any conditions that may compromise the safety or well-being of employees, customers, or the dealership.

Position Summary

The Flat Rate Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles as assigned by Service Management. The ideal candidate performs repairs accurately and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and established labor time standards.

This position plays an important role in maintaining high standards of repair quality, workplace safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction while supporting the core values of Nissan 24 of Brockton and Route 24 Auto Group.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
