Job summary

Langham Chicago is seeking a Laundry Attendant to distribute clean uniforms, receive soiled uniforms, and coordinate hotel management laundry/dry cleaning. You will prepare uniforms, document items, and support guest services with sewing as needed.

This role requires basic sewing knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. It offers benefits including vacation pay, holidays, health insurance, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as seamstress/tailor preferred.
• Basic arithmetic skills and meticulous record-keeping required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Distribute clean uniforms to colleagues.
• Receive soiled uniforms and ensure proper cleaning.
• Coordinate laundering and dry cleaning with external service.
• Mend or perform minor sewing as needed.
• Document all items and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect cleaned items and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room.
• Handle guest requests for pressing and repairs as assigned.
• Report shortages, damages, and linen/uniform availability to management.
