Job summary

The Langham, Chicago is seeking a meticulous Uniform Room Attendant to distribute and collect uniforms, document all items, and coordinate guest and hotel management laundry/dry cleaning services. You will maintain accurate records and ensure a clean, orderly uniform room.

Experience in sewing or tailoring and basic arithmetic will help you handle repairs, alterations, and stock checks with minimal supervision. The role requires physical activity and adherence to hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to do basic arithmetic and keep accurate records.
• Basic knowledge of sewing and tailoring repair work.
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy and good follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Distribute clean uniforms to colleagues and receive soiled uniforms.
• Legibly document information on uniform slips and uniform cards.
• Size, issue and document uniforms for all colleagues.
• Coordinate and monitor guest and hotel management laundry and dry cleaning.
• Inspect condition and charges, resolve discrepancies with service company.
• Maintain orderly uniform room and cabinetry; remove substandard items.
• Monitor supply levels and paperwork distribution.
• Process requests for pressing and minor repairs of clothes.
