Job summary

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, managed by Highgate Hotels, invites applications for Steward/Potwasher/Warewasher. You will maintain cleanliness in kitchens and storage areas, assist kitchen staff, and support proper food storage and rotation.

We seek hardworking individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand long hours, lift heavy objects, and communicate professionally with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and work in hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility areas.
• Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators and other equipment.
• Wash pots, pans and kitchen utensils following proper procedures for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors in all food and beverage areas, kitchen, restaurant and dock area.
• Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of china, glass and silver.
