Job summary

The Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego seeks an experienced Security Officer to protect guests, staff, and assets. The role is full time, evening shift, with an hourly pay of $23.90 and eligibility for standard Evans Hotels benefits.

You will patrol the property, respond to emergencies, manage communications, and follow reporting procedures. Candidates should have 3–12 months of relevant security experience, a valid California driver’s license, Guard Card and RBS certification, and be available on

Qualifications

• At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• A combination of experience, education, and/or training may substitute for requirements.
• Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business preferred.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Must have an unexpired and valid driver’s license with no recent violations.
• Guard Card (California only) required.
• RBS certification required.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor under stress.
• Stand/kneel/squat for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and SD Municipal Code 311.0101 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures appropriate response to medical emergencies and incidents.
• Responds to medical emergencies, violence, fires, outages or earthquakes.
• Surveys hotel property by patrol or CCTV.
• Assists with internal phone, paging and radio communications.
• Ensures proper reporting procedures after incidents.
• Maintains safe work practices in duties.
• Performs additional duties as directed by leadership.
