Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Safety and Security Officer in Las Vegas to provide protection and communicate with hotel guests and staff. You will patrol hotel premises, detect hazards, and report violations of hotel rules and regulations.

Responsibilities include maintaining an activity log, assisting guests during emergencies, responding to medical or security incidents, and coordinating with external agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible with long hours; shifts vary.
• Ability to stand for full shift and perform heavy lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication; service-oriented demeanor.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle security incidents professionally.

Responsibilities

• Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
• Patrol lobby and monitor front desk and secure areas.
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Assist guests during emergencies and medical incidents.
• Respond to emergencies and investigate incidents.
• Monitor TV cameras and security systems.
• Provide escorts and coordinate with outside agencies when needed.
