Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer to support guest services while performing hotel security duties to protect guests, staff, and property. This role involves patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to alarms and emergencies to ensure safety standards are upheld.

The position may require CPR certification, safety training, and knowledge of local laws and fire codes. Night/weekend availability may be necessary as part of a 24/7 security operation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills when interacting with guests and staff.
• Certification in safety/training or licensed as a Security Officer may be required.
• Knowledge of local laws, OSHA requirements and fire codes.
• Ability to document tasks and incidents clearly and accurately.
• May work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises, monitor entrances, control access, and respond to calls and emergencies.
• Record incident reports to police, fire agencies, and corporate departments to assist in case evaluation or defense.
• Investigate loss and safety incidents and comply with regulations and hotel procedures to minimize risk.
• Administer CPR or coordinate EMS response when required.
