Job summary

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Auburn is seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to oversee rooms-area departments including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance and Housekeeping. You will lead staff, drive guest satisfaction, and work to maximize department financial performance.

The role emphasizes creating a motivating environment, setting clear expectations with leadership, and proactively addressing guest needs and service goals across the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
• Or 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Admin with 2 years in guest services.
• Experience leading operations within rooms departments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies goals are translated to the team related to guest tracking and productivity.
• Manages operations in Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping.
• Leads teams and helps meet or exceed property goals.
• Creates an environment emphasizing motivation, teamwork, and service.
• Addresses guest satisfaction results and develops improvement plans.
• Sets clear expectations with the General Manager and ensures capability to meet them.
• Leads by example with energy and enthusiasm.
• Assists staff in understanding evolving guest needs.
