Job summary

Residence Inn Missoula is seeking a dedicated hotel housekeeper to maintain clean, inviting guest rooms and public areas. You will work with a team to meet high cleanliness standards and assist guests with requests while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring entry of room status in the system. Excellent communication in English and ability to stand long hours are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
• Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and established standards
• Assign appropriate cleaning materials for different linens, furniture, flooring and surfaces
• Instruct staff on policies and use/maintenance of equipment
• Secure issued keys at all times and report losses
• Follow SOP for entering and securing guest rooms
• Report lost and found items and maintenance needs
• Keep supervisors informed of challenges or matters
• Communicate performance issues to supervisors or managers
• Advise managers/front desk of rooms ready for occupancy
• Notify Room Attendants of deficiencies and provide coaching
• Re-inspect corrected rooms and update room status in the system
• Inspect Room Attendant carts, closets and boards
• Assist with ongoing training and cleanliness tasks
• Balance and prepare paperwork for shift closing
• Connect with the manager on duty before leaving shift
• Participate in all hotel/department meetings and other duties as required
