Job summary

Porter Square Hotel in Cambridge, MA seeks a Room Attendant to clean and service guest rooms daily, stock supplies, and maintain high standards of etiquette and guest relations. You will report to the Housekeeping/Operations Manager and follow shift checklists while ensuring guest safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as a team and treat others with respect.
• Must maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Must communicate effectively in English with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Report to Front Desk at beginning of shift, pick up key, and return key at end of shift.
• Follow shift checklist and accurately record notes throughout shift.
• Clean and maintain all assigned rooms and suites daily, including bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting and stocking supplies.
• Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to guests and co-workers.
• Keep doors closed when cleaning for safety and security purposes.
• Report missing items and any repairs needed to supervisor; maintain equipment used.
• Take lost and found to the office as required; vacuum floors and clean common areas.
• Stock cleaning cart with appropriate supplies; demonstrate knowledge of service standards and guest etiquette.
• Communicate effectively in English to guests, associates, and vendors; attend required meetings.
