Primary Responsibilities
- Loading housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies
- Turning off all electricity (heating or cooling set to fan or cool setting)
- Stripping all beds in checked-out rooms and dropping all dirty linens to the laundry before cleaning
- Turning off all lights, stripping beds, and dropping all dirty linens to the laundry on new checked-out rooms immediately
- Cleaning the cart and ensuring all bottles are correctly labeled
- Working in a fast-paced environment to ensure rooms are properly and thoroughly cleaned within 25 minutes
- Obtaining the executive housekeeper’s signature on work assignment sheets
- Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors
- Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g., wall fixtures, window sills, vents)
- Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items; removing used guest amenities and supplies
- Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and operational conditions of equipment; checking for damaged linens
- Reporting lost & found articles, maintenance issues, or special room problems (e.g., pets in the room) to a supervisor
- Preparing rooms for guest arrivals and responding to special guest requests (e.g., delivering newspapers or cleaning spills)
- Maintaining cleanliness of storage rooms and stocking the cart
- Removing and emptying linens from housekeeping carts into laundry carts and sending them to laundry
- Recording room status on work assignment sheets
- Performing other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but training will be provided to meet expectations
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
