Primary Responsibilities

1. Loading housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies
2. Turning off all electricity (heating or cooling set to fan or cool setting)
3. Stripping all beds in checked-out rooms & dropping all dirty linens to the laundry before any cleaning is done
4. Turning off all lights, stripping beds, & dropping all dirty linens to the laundry on all new checked-out rooms immediately
5. Cleaning the cart & ensuring that all bottles are correctly labeled
6. Working in a fast-paced environment to ensure rooms are properly and thoroughly cleaned within 25 minutes.
7. Obtaining executive housekeeper’s signature on his/her work assignment sheet
8. Vacuuming & sweeping carpets & floors
9. Dusting & cleaning room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (i.e., wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.)
10. Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items; removing used guest amenities & supplies
11. Inspecting rooms for safety hazards & operational conditions of equipment; checking for damaged linens
12. Reporting lost & found articles, maintenance problems, or special room issues (e.g., pets in the room) to a supervisor
13. Preparing rooms for guest arrivals & responding to special guest requests (e.g., delivering newspapers or cleaning a spill)
14. Maintaining cleanliness of storage rooms & stocking carts
15. Removing & emptying linens from housekeeping cart into laundry cart & sending to laundry
16. Recording room status on work assignment sheets
17. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Previous housekeeping experience required
• Attention to detail
• Previous customer service experience
• Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays
