Crowne Plaza Edison is seeking a motivated restaurant server to promote and serve food and beverages in a hotel setting, complying with state laws and safety standards. The role emphasizes hospitality, accuracy in order taking, and cash handling, with a strong customer-service focus.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, serving drinks, taking payments, and maintaining a clean station. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required in a cycle-based hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience.
• One year of cocktail experience preferred.
• English required.
• Ability to use MICROS.
• Full knowledge of TIPs training.
• Full knowledge of state liquor laws.
• Must have flexible day and evening hour availability; schedules vary.
• Working hours: 4 PM to 11 PM.

Responsibilities

• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages.
• Take and serve orders.
• Hospitably greet, prepare and serve drinks to guests according to hotel’s beverage service standards and state laws.
• Prepare station for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift.
• Follow all cash handling and bank SOPs.
• Perform side work duties according to side work schedules.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
• Issue bills and accept payment.
