Job description

HVS Hospitality Consulting is seeking an analytical, motivated professional to join our dynamic and collaborative consulting and valuation team. This opportunity is ideal for hotel accountants looking to leverage their industry knowledge in a broader consulting role, as well as for those with a passion for finance, hospitality, marketing, and real estate. Working alongside experienced industry leaders, you'll help clients make informed investment and business decisions across the hospitality sector (bachelor's degree required).

Associates are expected to spend one year training and working in our Tampa/St. Pete, Florida, office before relocating to Miami the following year. Upon promotion to Senior Associate, employees receive a $10,000 salary increase, relocation assistance, and a $5,000 cost-of-living adjustment upon moving to Miami, along with significant long-term career and earning potential. The average salary approaches $100,000 after just a few years of learning this work and becoming exceptional in its delivery. We also pay 100% of employee health insurance premiums, offer a 401(k) match, and provide a comprehensive benefits package.

Every Day is Different: We consult on hotels and markets throughout the metro area and region, and no submarket or hotel is alike. If you have become tired of the monotony of your hotel operations existence, let us breathe new life into your career with a move into consulting and valuation. Our consultants travel and learn about hundreds of submarkets and hotels, and our team can interact with industry participants that are equally passionate about this work. No day is like the last, and we couple this experience with a great HVS trainer team and fund licensing and continuing education. Hotel market studies, feasibility studies, and appraisals (valuations) are the mainstay of our business, and we train new associates how to expertly put together highly credible analyses and written reports to back up our conclusions. This work is a perfect career move for a college graduate that has spent some time in hotel accounting and is ready for a change.

Ideal candidate

If you have your bachelor’s degree and at least six months of hotel experience, are a self-starter who is looking to start a career with advancement opportunities and have the desire to work within a multicultural community.
