Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek Fort Lauderdale is seeking a hotel housekeeping porter to keep public areas clean and support room operations by handling heavy cleaning, restocking supplies, and moving heavy items.

The role requires stamina to stand/walk long shifts, the ability to lift 50–70 pounds, and basic English communication with guests and team members. Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, weekends, or holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Stand or walk for long shifts; lift or push up to 50–70 pounds.
• Hospitality/cleaning experience helpful; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms.
• Supplies & Inventory: Restock linen closets, empty linen chutes, and load housekeeping carts with fresh towels and amenities.
• Waste Management: Empty indoor trash cans, collect recycling bins, and transport refuse to designated disposal areas.
• Heavy Lifting & Logistics: Move furniture, set up banquet or event spaces, and deliver heavy packages or extra guest beds to rooms.
• Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate and clean heavy-duty floor buffers, extractors, and vacuums.
• Safety & Reporting: Report maintenance issues, broken fixtures, or safety hazards to management right away.
