AC Hotel Tuscaloosa Downtown is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel's public and back-of-house areas, and by assisting room attendants with supplies.

This full-time, year-round role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with shifts including holidays and weekends. We offer benefits such as PTO, health plans, 401(k) match, and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• Professional cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Background check required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiasm for cleanliness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and meeting spaces.
• Assist room attendants with restocking linens and supplies; prepare carts and closets/storage.
• Deliver items to guest rooms on request (towels, linens, amenities).
• Remove trash and soiled linens from guest floors and service areas.
• Assist housekeeping staff with room cleaning tasks as needed.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Follow cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
