Job summary

The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is seeking a dynamic Hotel Assistant Manager for Carmel Valley Ranch, CA. This role oversees day-to-day resort operations, ensuring exemplary service and memorable guest experiences across departments.

As a visible leader, you will act as Manager on Duty, coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa, Recreation, Engineering, and Security, and coach colleagues to uphold Hyatt's standards of care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hotel or resort leadership experience.
• Luxury resort experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of front office operations and overall hotel departments.
• Exceptional guest service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across all resort departments with focus on guest satisfaction and colleague engagement.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and address guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery.
• Engage with guests to anticipate needs and create memorable experiences.
• Support Front Office operations including arrivals, departures, VIPs, room assignments, and guest communications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure rooms and public areas meet luxury standards.
• Collaborate with F&B, Spa, Recreation, and Events to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Monitor daily operations and feedback, addressing challenges and implementing solutions.
