Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Providence/Lincoln is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead the hotel to meet occupancy, revenue, and service goals. This role supports the General Manager in guiding teams toward excellence in guest experience and product quality at the Lincoln property.

The ideal candidate brings two years of related management experience, strong hotel operations knowledge, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Two years related management experience and hotel brand knowledge.
• Extensive experience with rooms, housekeeping and food and beverage.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Working knowledge of hotel operations – including security and safety programs, HR relations, QA programs, long range planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise in standard hotel management systems.
• Hands-on leadership.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility operations in the absence of the General Manager, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, F&B and HR.
• Manage front office operations and supervise front desk and F&B staff.
• Resolve guest concerns while maintaining high franchise Guest Service scores.
• Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraisal of performance, rewards and coaching.
• Work with hotel staff and be available according to hotel needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, inventories and accounting processes.
