Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. During these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and answering questions.

• Proactive thinking with guest security in mind, creating a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
• Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Checking the front desk log for issues and special requests.
• Greeting guests, registering, and assigning rooms.
• Processing guest registrations and payments.
• Preparing express checkout folios.
• Maintaining room status inventory.
• Communicating shift information to relevant staff, including the Front Office Manager and General Manager.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Ensuring smooth shift transitions by communicating pertinent information.
• Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Answering inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local attractions.
• Completing shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
