Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott Olympia is seeking a Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. This role includes overnight shifts, checking in guests, handling reservations, and safeguarding financial transactions while delivering courteous service to guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable with using computers and web applications.
• Willing to work overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete check-in procedures efficiently.
• Answer inquiries and handle reservations in person, by email, and by phone.
• Record and control financial transactions.
• Maintain guest relations with timely, knowledgeable responses.
• Maintain safety and sanitation procedures.
• Run night audit reports and support hotel operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure hotel performance.
• Attend shift handoffs and keep communications up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Greets and completes standard check-in procedures for arriving guests, using both manual and computerized methods, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, in person, through email and telephone calls, and assists guests with directions and area activities
• Controls and records financial transactions
• Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, both in person, via email, and on the phone
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
• Contributes to and maintains communication sources such as shift pass down emails to enhance hotel communications and operations
• Aids other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
• Ensure safety by following the safety and sanitation procedures and reporting suspicious activity to management
• Run all necessary night audit reports
