Towneplace Suites by Marriott Olympia is seeking a Guest Service Representative to greet guests, manage check-in, and assist with reservations and directions. The role requires a courteous, professional demeanor and ability to handle financial transactions at the front desk.

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Able to type 40+ words per minute.
• Willingness to learn new web applications.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Good work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests and complete standard check-in procedures using manual and computerized methods.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person, by email, and by phone; assist with directions and area activities.
• Record and control financial transactions at the front desk.
• Maintain good customer relations with timely, knowledgeable responses.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Contribute to front desk communications and improve department operations.
• Assist colleagues to support hotel performance and guest satisfaction.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures and report any suspicious activity.

Job Description

• Greets and completes standard check-in procedures for arriving guests daily, using both manual and computerized methods ensuring guest satisfaction
• Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, in person, through email and telephone calls, and help guests with directions and area activities
• Controls and records financial transactions a front desk
• Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on telephone
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
• Contributes and maintains established information and communication sources such as department and front desk log books to enhance department communications and operations
• Aids other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
• Ensure safety by following the safety and sanitation procedures and reporting suspicious activity to management
