Job summary

Lakefront Anchorage, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, seeks a General Mechanical Maintenance Technician to repair, replace, and maintain hotel equipment and guest rooms per established standards in a safe manner.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, ownership, and commitment to continuous improvement and results. Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical work.
• Basic knowledge of both hand tools and electric tools.
• Must have basic English communication skills.
• Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Be able to grasp, lift or carry up to 50lbs.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be dependable.
• Proactively looks for more efficient ways of performing duties.
• Able to perform tasks without immediate supervision.
• Responds promptly to guests’ request and listens to their concerns.
• Related experience/training of 2-4 years is required.

Responsibilities

• Paint, deliver and/or repair furniture and wall coverings throughout the hotel.
• Maintain, repair, or replace hotel equipment.
• Respond to guest or employee issues with heating, cooling, and hot water systems to ensure comfort.
• Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks.
• Change filters on air systems and maintain equipment.
• Keep work area and supplies organized and clean.
