Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott in Sandy, UT is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Worker for a part-time role on Saturdays and Sundays, 7am-3pm. This position involves maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas across trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, wall covering and landscaping.

The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of these trades, a positive attitude, punctuality, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wall covering, and landscaping principles.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Punctuality and reliable work attendance.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in good repair across trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wall covering, landscaping).
• Clean and maintain the spa area.
• Maintain hotel vehicles and transport guests as needed.
• May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays.
• Conduct maintenance and safety inspections and follow up on required improvements.

Performance Expectations:

• Maintain the guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain the spa area.
• Maintain the hotel vehicles; transport guests as needed.
• May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays.
• Conducts maintenance and safety inspections as needed and ensures timely follow-up to required improvements.
