Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott in Sandy, UT is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Worker for a part-time role on Saturdays and Sundays, 7am-3pm. This position involves maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas across trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, wall covering and landscaping.

The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of these trades, a positive attitude, punctuality, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wall covering, and landscaping principles.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Punctuality and reliable work attendance.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in good repair across trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wall covering, landscaping).
Clean and maintain the spa area.
Maintain hotel vehicles and transport guests as needed.
May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays.
Conduct maintenance and safety inspections and follow up on required improvements.
