Job summary

Ascent Hospitality’s Fairfield Inn & Suites in Enterprise, AL is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Worker who will help keep the property safe, comfortable, and fully operational for guests and staff. You will support the Engineering and Operations teams with routine maintenance, repairs, preventative tasks, and upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain doors, lighting, plumbing, HVAC components, and hotel equipment, while handling work orders

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior areas.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled maintenance projects.
• Maintain hotel grounds and exterior areas as needed.
• Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with property improvement projects, inspections, and renovations as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, brand standards, and company policies.
• Provide courteous and professional service to guests and team members.

Pay Range: $15- $18 an hr. (Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience)

As a Hotel Maintenance Worker, you will play an essential role in keeping our property safe, comfortable, clean, and fully operational for our guests and team members.

You will support the hotel's Engineering and Operations team by performing routine maintenance, completing repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and the property's exterior.

What You Will Do

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and work independently.
• Commitment to workplace safety, preventative maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
• Hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
