TownePlace Suites by Marriott Buffalo Airport is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. The role covers upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer, and performing basic repairs, painting, plumbing and electrical work, as well as pool operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field, with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and boiler operations skills, and must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift up to 75 lbs and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Maintain pool and spa areas in accordance with state/local regulations.
• Clean internal areas, manage logbooks and perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
