Job summary

Ritchie Station Residence Inn by Marriott is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs and grounds maintenance at our Capitol Heights, MD properties. This part-time role involves hands-on repairs, routine PMs, inventory, and coordinating with regional maintenance leadership to ensure safe, guest-ready facilities.

The position requires practical maintenance skills, comfort with electrical/plumbing work, and the ability to manage vendor bids and maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 6 months – 1+ year of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform daily maintenance engineer checklist.
• Ability to maintain and repair plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all equipment repairs—contact vendors, gather bids, and present for approval.
• Complete monthly maintenance inventory and submit supply orders.
• Conduct room PMs with maintenance staff support.
• Track room PMs and ensure quarterly completion at both hotels.
• Cover daily maintenance duties during absences.
• Maintain pool and spa areas per state and city regulations.
• Oversee housekeeping-related tasks and assist other departments as needed.
• Maintain logs, key control records, and preventative maintenance schedules.
