Ascent Hospitality Management is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician at the Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson, MS. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks across guest rooms, public areas, and building systems.

Ideal candidates have experience in hotel maintenance or related technical fields, with strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to use hand and power tools. The position may require weekend and holiday work to keep the hotel running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks.
• Assist with maintaining HVAC systems, water systems, laundry equipment, and other hotel equipment.
• Identify recurring maintenance issues and communicate concerns to Engineering leadership.
• Assist with emergency repairs and urgent maintenance situations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with property improvement projects, renovations, inspections, and vendor projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
• Follow all Hilton brand standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.
