Job summary

The Blennerhassett, a Giovanni Hotel and Spa, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and spa facilities are well-maintained and safe. You will respond to maintenance calls, replace fixtures, and run preventative maintenance across the property.

You will also monitor spa pH, manage grounds upkeep, and keep accurate records while coordinating with other teams. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good math skills, safety literacy, and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Able to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals; and write routine reports.
• Solid basic math: fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and basic geometry.
• Good judgment when instructions are general or unclear; ability to troubleshoot from descriptions, diagrams, or schedules.
• Working knowledge of chemicals and how they interact; use them safely.
• Friendly and easy to talk to for guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest room maintenance calls quickly and courteously, and complete the fix.
• Replace faulty items — light bulbs, faucets, and similar components.
• Run the preventative maintenance program for guest rooms, lobby, and public spaces.
• Check and balance spa pH levels.
• Handle grounds upkeep: sidewalk shoveling, salting, parking lot sweeps, garden maintenance, trash/recycle areas.
• Keep mechanical spaces safe, orderly, and clean; maintain clear records.
• Track daily work on the provided checklist.
• Monitor department supplies through inventory checks.
• Assist with other departments, special projects, and committees as needed.
