Job summary

The Hotel Ithaca in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Chief Engineer in managing the Hotel Maintenance Department and ensuring a well-kept facility for guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining the entire building, its mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems, and overseeing guest areas to keep the property attractive. Two years of hotel maintenance experience is preferred, along with licenses as required by law.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as an engineer in the hotel environment preferred.
• General Maintenance skills: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, plaster repair.
• Obtainment of any licenses or certificates as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining the entire Hotel Facility including building structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Ensure upkeep of guest areas and maintain an attractive Hotel by assisting in management of all rehabilitation, expansion and special projects.
• Working knowledge of pool and spa health regulations.
