Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Mountain View, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment. You will work with the Chief Engineer and management to complete work orders and uphold safety standards, with flexibility for scheduling.

Ideal candidates are team players with initiative, able to handle emergencies and guest service duties, and comfortable performing preventative maintenance and exterior repairs in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis.
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
• Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance and repairs.
• Paint, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects.
• Pool and exercise room equipment repairs if necessary.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Prepare all necessary reports during each shift for the management team.
• Work with Chief Engineer and Management team on technical and skilled projects.
