Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Lynchburg is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the property clean, safe, and in peak condition. You will perform grounds care, exterior upkeep, and room/building maintenance to promptly address guest needs and maintain overall property quality.

You will manage landscaping, repair plumbing and fixtures, replace lights, inspect walls and ceilings, and respond to urgent safety concerns, including after hours. A practical, hands-on approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; on-call maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Grounds & exterior care: maintain a clean, litter-free property; manage landscaping and exterior upkeep.
• Room & building maintenance: address guest room issues, repair walls, paint, wallpaper, and fix plumbing leaks.
• Equipment & technical support: run preventative maintenance on laundry and vacuum equipment, clean A/C filters, service lawn mowers and power tools.
• Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
