Job summary

Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas in excellent repair at our Duluth property. Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and masonry are required, with a hands-on, team-first approach.

You will support our ONE TEAM. ONE VISION culture, follow SOPs and brand standards, and assist other departments as needed to ensure safe, quality service across a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in person.
• Able to report to scheduled shifts.
• Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
• Is organized, honest, and works well with others.
• Can provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas in good repair.
• Repair or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
• Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back of the house to evaluate for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
• Assist other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
• Have basic mechanical aptitude for the operation and repair of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, associates and hotel assets in conjunction with hotel management.
