Job summary

Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis seeks a Maintenance Associate to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment. Responsibilities include PMs, boiler operation, kitchen and laundry equipment care, and assisting with repairs.

Ideal candidates have two years of hotel or building maintenance experience, one year in kitchen/laundry equipment, and strong communication. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and 100 lbs occasionally. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Two years hotel or commercial building maintenance experience.
• One year kitchen and laundry equipment experience required.
• Emergency response experience required.
• Strong communication and guest satisfaction skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to crawl, bend, reach overhead, squat, kneel.
• Lift up to 50 lb repeatedly and 100 lb occasionally.
• Able to use step stools and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete equipment PMs.
• Operate and maintain boiler for hot water system.
• Maintain other vessels for hot water, kitchen steam and AC systems.
• Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs.
• Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
• Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
• Receive direction for house calls via radio.
• Follow Omni fire alarm procedures and safety rules.
• Follow OSHA rules and Omni Hotel regulations.
• Assist other departments as needed.
