Job summary

Hampton Inn Morehead City is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and repair maintenance to ensure hotel quality and sustainability standards, while delivering friendly guest service. The position requires basic trade training or experience, and work may include holidays and weekends. Safety practices and following MSDS/OSHA guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders related to ceiling tiles, sheet-rock, and wallpaper.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Focus on guest satisfaction scores and strive to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Maintain curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, gardening, trash removal).
• Follow sustainability guidelines under EarthView program and practice safe work habits.

Education
