Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead engineering and maintenance operations across our Scottsdale properties. You’ll mentor teams, schedule work, and ensure high safety and quality standards.

You’ll oversee preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems; respond to guest requests promptly; coordinate renovations and vendor work; and collaborate with other hotel departments to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering/maintenance teams in hospitality or hotel environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards in a hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Train, schedule, and guide engineering and maintenance team members to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpentry, mechanical equipment, and general building upkeep.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests quickly to support guest satisfaction.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing hotel equipment, life safety systems, and building infrastructure.
• Monitor maintenance logs, work orders, inspections, and documentation for compliance.
• Support renovation projects, vendor coordination, inventory management, and facility improvement initiatives.
