Job summary

WoodSpring Suites Smyrna is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for full-time on-site work in Smyrna, TN. The role focuses on electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and routine facility upkeep, with a $24/hour pay and benefits after 90 days.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring guest satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role.
• Skilled in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Conduct room checkout procedures (strip room, remove trash, PM room).
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair all types of water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Notifies General Manager of any major repairs or equipment needs
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
