Job summary

Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform operations, repairs and preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility. This role includes ongoing training to obtain licenses and works the 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift, with weekend requirements in Washington, DC.

Salary ranges from $22 to $26 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. CBS offers a comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) matching,

Qualifications

• Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation and physical ability to lift 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot systems as directed by supervisor.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for installation/repair work.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards and complete required reports.
• Support building manager and client representatives to ensure satisfaction.

Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform operations, repairs and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to equipment within the facility, while acquiring skills and knowledge to complete the training required to obtain licenses. The hours for this position are 230 PM to 1100 PM - must be able to work weekends, Washington, DC. Salary $22-$26 depending on qualifications and experience.

Typical day as a CBS Maintenance Mechanic

• Daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis
• Maintain equipment to industry standards
• Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisor
• Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required
• Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
• Complete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisor
• Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed
• Place or remove systems and equipment as directed
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be available to work all shifts
• Must be available to be on call 24/7
• Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems
• Universal CFC/R-410A
• Prior hotel experience a plus
• Able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift sixty (60) pounds
• Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
• Possess excellent customer service skills
