Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee all building operations, repairs and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute repairs and maintenance across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, painting and general upkeep.
  • Develop and manage the capital expenditure budget for the property.
  • Plan and negotiate maintenance contracts for hotel, grounds, and equipment.
  • Develop, implement and manage all Emergency programs; conduct inspections and drills.
  • Develop and manage an energy conservation program to minimize expenses.
  • Perform on-duty manual engineering tasks as needed and per tickets.

Job description

This is an exciting opening for a seasoned Maintenance Manager. Come join us at our 190-room Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel located in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida. Previous hotel experience is required, previous Marriott experience very helpful. Local candidates only, non-smoking position.





BASIC PURPOSE: Develop, implement and manage emergency programs, programs for the operations & maintenance of all equipment and physical structures and landscaping in compliance with corporate/franchise standards, local, state & national codes and regulations to protect the assets, guests and employees, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses and maximize customer satisfaction.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1. 1. Execute any and all required repair and maintenance at the hotel. This includes, but is not limited to, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, painting, general building maintenance and other related activities (35%).





2.Develop, recommend, implement and manage the division’s budget capital expenditure plan, forecasts and objectives consistent with maintaining a first-class property and management’s expectations. (10%)





3. Develop, implement and manage a maintenance program and negotiate maintenance contracts for the hotel, the grounds and all of the equipment in compliance with corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to ensure the safety, convenience and satisfaction of all guests, managers and employees to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition. (10%)





4. Develop, implement & direct all Emergency programs; ensure all equipment is maintained, conduct inspections & drills, ensure compliance with all codes and regulations, train all employees and maintain accurate records to ensure a safe environment which protects the assets, guests and employees. (10%)





5. Develop, implement and manage an energy conservation program for property to minimize expenses. (5%)





6. Execute manual engineering tasks when on duty as needed and as per tickets or guest related impact items. (25%)





NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:





1. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested. (5%)





Knowledge and Skills:





Education: More than two years of post-high school education, but less than a degree from a four-year college.





Experience: Experience required by position is from four to five years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s)





Skills and Abilities: Requires advanced knowledge of Building Management/Engineering. May require considerable working Knowledge of other major areas in the hotel and the skills to integrate and communicate that information.


Requires analyzing activities and/or information involving some original data manipulation or interpretation to arrive at logical conclusions.


Requires management skills.


Ability to provide information and associated services to hotel management and guests.








No. of employees supervised: Supervise one to five employees





Travel required: Minimal, training classes, vendors, task force, etc.





Hours Required: Hourly position, as scheduled
