Job summary

Sedona Staffing Services is recruiting a part-time Maintenance Worker for a local hotel in Dubuque, IA. You will handle basic maintenance, lawn care, small repairs, and assist guests with issues to ensure a comfortable stay.

Responsibilities include outdoor upkeep, pool area maintenance, and coordinating with front desk and housekeeping to support guest satisfaction. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required, and prior handyman experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair tools and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Capable of lifting moderate weights and working outdoors in various weather.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Maintain outdoor areas, mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and general landscaping.
• Monitor and maintain pool area cleanliness and safety, including chemical checks.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Assist with upkeep of hotel grounds, including painting, replacing light bulbs, and fixing small plumbing or electrical issues.
• Collaborate with front desk and housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Report major repair needs or safety concerns to supervisor or management.
