Job Description. The Maintenance Engineer must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, pipe leaks, and fire alarms
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure their longevity and efficiency
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field-repairs or maintenance work
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
