Job summary

Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily operations of the hotel engineering/maintenance departments and staff, and to maintain equipment, buildings, and property in top condition.

You will lead preventive maintenance initiatives, coordinate with internal teams and outside contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while managing budgets and reports.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and related maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of city/state building codes, OSHA, and ADA laws.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to motivate staff.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills; deadline-driven.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements preventive maintenance program for hotel facilities.
• Ensures maintenance and repairs are completed timely and cost-effectively per specifications.
• Oversees HVAC, kitchen equipment, generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
• Interfaces with staff and managers to identify maintenance needs and respond promptly.
• Coordinates with engineers and outside contractors on renovation/new construction plans.
• Monitors inventory and authorizes purchases for supplies/equipment.
• Ensures safety inspections are completed and policies adhered to.
• Supervises maintenance staff and guides daily operations.
• Maintains knowledge of building codes, OSHA, and ADA; implements guidelines.
• Manages department budget and tracks expenses; prepares reports.
• Recruits, trains, and motivates staff; manages schedules and workload.
• Provides ongoing guidance and corrective actions; promotes teamwork.
